MaxSport and Treble B Rookie Bangers 2010 

1. Saloon or Estate cars of any make 2 litre limit,

 no vans or diesels.

2. All glass and inflammable materials must be removed

BEFORE the car is brought to the raceway. Petrol tank must be holed, or drain plug removed.

3. A full safety harness must be fitted to the car, with 2” plates under any floor for fixing.

Harness and protective head wear must be worn while racing.

4. A full roll cage or ‘H’ frame must be fitted to protect the driver in the event of a roll over.

5. Bonnets must be tied down with belt webbing, no string or rope and NO BOLTS OR WELDING

6. All cars can have a distributor guard not exceeding 9”x3” and

only bolted to the engine by a 1”x1” bar.

7. Cooling system, NO header tanks, radiators only and

must be inside the engine compartment and in the original position.

8. All cars to be fitted with a 2 gallon isolation or auxiliary petrol tank

 which will be bolted in the rear of the car. The tank is to be set up,

 has to be leak proof whatever the position it is in. the fuel line from the

tank to the engine will be made from a proper resilient material and

will pass through the inside of the car unless a metal pipe is used.

9. Batteries can remain in the engine compartment but must be covered and securely fitted,

 if they are moved into the car they must be placed in a box with a lid which when closed will be

 held with 2 straps which cross over the top of the box and be bolted to the floor. The battery must

 be covered with a non corrosive material inside the box.

10. All ignition systems whether isolated or otherwise will be securely fixed.

11. All cars MUST be fitted with a finplate to the roof, figures minimum size

of 9” high x 15” wide, Drivers name must also appear on the passenger’s side.

12. NO one under the age of 18yrs will be allowed to race this formula.

13. All cars to be fitted with a fire extinguisher, fitted in such a way as to be with

 in easy reach of the driver

14. Silencers must be fitted and effective at the beginning of the race meeting

15. All cars to have an effective braking system, wheels studs to be checked

16. All cars when taken to the scrutiniser must be ready to race, i.e. seat belts in battery box securely fastened, bonnet and boot lid must be opened ready for inspection.

17. Road tyres only, no tractor or dumper tyres

18. One driver per car, change of driver not permitted, failure of this rule will result in a BAN.

19. A protective door plate must be bolted to the outside of the driver’s door.

21. NO RUBBISH OR WHEELS TO BE LEFT AT THE TRACK, PLEASE TAKE THEM HOME.
